LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE INTEGRITY
I want to be your next Linn County Auditor. I have dedicated my life to working for the citizens of Cedar Rapids and Linn County. I now want to tackle the challenges of the office of Auditor for Linn County. I will bring many years of quality experience to the position. My background includes a BS in Urban Geography and a Masters in Public Administration. I have nearly 30 years of experience with the City of Cedar Rapids as Finance Commissioner overseeing the Auditor’s Office and Finance Office; as City Clerk, Housing Program Manager and City Planner. I also worked closely with the County Auditor regarding several special elections and to redistrict city precinct maps following 1990 and 2000 census. I have proven that I am able to work with elected officials at the State, County and Municipal level. I have also proven that I am a team player and can work with the staff. I will continue the open door policy for the public that I have demonstrated in the past. I will continue to ask probing questions in order to learn the needs of the public and to identify the challenges and opportunities that may present themselves. I will work with others to determine all options and the best solutions available to the issues that face our county I need your support during the next few weeks of the campaign and I would appreciate your vote in the Democratic Primary on June 3, 2008.
